Sakip Sabanci Museum (Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi) has a unique line collection, whose current exhibitions are followed with interest. The museum, which attracts attention with its temporary exhibitions as well as its collection, is one of the rising cultural assets of Istanbul in recent years. Sakip Sabanci Museum, which has been in service since 2002, is located in Emirgan, on the shores of the Bosphorus.

The building, which was built by the Hidiv family in 1927, is also known as the “Horse Pavilion” because of the horse statue in front of it. The building, after 1966, one of Turkey’s leading businessmen Sakip used as a residence by the Sabanci. The building, which contains Sabancı’s rich line and painting collection, was transferred to Sakıp Sabancı University in 1998 and turned into a museum.

The collection of the museum includes handwritten Quran, furniture and decorative works, and works by Turkish painters such as Osman Hamdi Bey and Fikret Mualla. The museum also manages to make its name known with its temporary exhibitions. The works of artists such as Picasso, Monet, Anish Kapoor, Salvador Dalí and Miró met with Istanbul at the Sakip Sabanci Museum (Sakıp Sabancı Müzesi).
