Chora Museum (Kariye Müzesi) was built during the reign of the Eastern Roman Empire. While it was a church dedicated to Jesus, it is a museum that was later converted into a mosque by Grand Vizier Hadım Ali Pasha.

Today, the building, which serves as a museum, is described as a masterpiece with the interior mosaics and frescoes built by Theodor Method. At the entrance of the museum, You can see the mosaics where the lives of Jesus and Virgin Mary are told. The frescoes of the important names of the period are located in the chapel added later.

Chora Museum (Kariye Müzesi) in Fatih has been one of the most visited structures in Istanbul for years.
