Subway

There are 7 subway lines operate in Istanbul, 5 on the European side and 2 on the Anatolian side. subways operate between 06:00 and 24:00 everyday.

Tram

There are 4 tram lines in Istanbul. 

T1 Bağcılar – Kabataş

T1 tram line is the most useful line for tourists. Because it is possible to reach many tourist spots such as the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Eminönü, Beşiktaş with this tram line.

T2 Taksim – Tunnel (Nostalgic Tram, in İstiklal Street)

The T2 nostalgic tram operates on one of the oldest and most popular streets in Istanbul, Istiklal Street, and its line length is 1870 meters. 

By using this nostalgic tram, which is the oldest means of transportation in Istanbul, you can absorb the historical texture of Istiklal Street. This line operates between 06:00-02:00 everyday.

T3 Kadıköy – Moda

The length of Kadıköy – Moda Tram Line is 2.6 km and in this line there are 10 stations in total. Kadıköy – Moda Tram Line starts from Kadıköy Square and follows Bahariye Street through the private bus route and reaches Moda. The tram reaches Kadıköy Square again via Moda Street.

The T4 tram line is not preferred by the tourists who come to Istanbul to visit. It has 22 stations, seven of which are underground.

Marmaray

Marmaray, where 500,000 people travel a day, is the most preferred means of transportation for passengers traveling between two sides of Istanbul with a 1387-meter tunnel passing under the Sea of Marmara.

Funicular

F1 Taksim-Kabataş

The funicular line connecting Taksim and Kabataş is 640 meters and the journey time is around 2.5 minutes.

With this line, transfer can be made;

(At Taksim Station) to M2 Yenikapı – Hacıosman Metro Line and T2 Taksim-Tunnel Nostalgic Tram

(At Kabataş Station) to T1 Bağcılar – Kabataş Tram Line and sea transportation vehicles (IDO, City Lines and boats).

Cable Car

TF1 Maçka-Taşkışla

This cable car line, which eliminates the difficulty of pedestrian transportation between Taşkışla and Maçka (which is near to Dolmabahçe), also promises you a unique view of Istanbul.

TF2 Eyüp-Piyer Loti Hill

Using this cable car line, you can climb to the top of the Piyer Loti Hill, which is one of the most important tourist spots in Istanbul, with magnificent Golden Horn view.
