Istanbul Naval Museum (İstanbul Deniz Müzesi) is the right address to watch the seafaring course from the Ottoman times until today. Located next to the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha mausoleum in the Beşiktaş district, the museum is among the most important museums in the world thanks to its rich collection.

In the collection, which contains more than 20 thousand works, the reign boats, tughras and ship models draw attention. . This valuable collection is on display at the museum’s two buildings and gardens. You can see tools, objects, models and models belonging to old ships in the three-storey main building.

The walls of the museum, where the divisions from Atatürk’s private yacht meet the visitors, are decorated with paintings depicting important sea events in history. You can also examine the navy outfits on the upper floor of the museum, where there are banners, cannons and weapons of various periods.
