Galatasaray Bath (Galatasaray Hamamı) is located in Galatasaray Complex and was built by Sultan Beyazıt II in 1481. The construction of Galatasaray Bath is based on a mysterious story.

Sultan Beyazıt then caught the eye of a cottage while strolling on the plot of the current Galatasaray High School and Galatasaray Bath (Galatasaray Hamamı). This cottage belongs to Gül Baba, one of the counted personalities of the time.

Sultan Beyazıt met this person and said, “Do you have a wish, Gül Baba?” Gül Baba asked for a complex to be built in this land that will find a large school and a domed bath that will rule the land for centuries. Sultan Beyazıt accepted this wish exactly and built the complex in 1481. Gul Baba’s grave is still in the complex.

In 1965, the women’s department was added to the bath that originally served men. Famous names such as John Travolta and Tony Curtis visited this bath.
